Brookes Moscow welcomed the visiting team from the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), to authorise our school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP)
On Monday 13th & Tuesday 14th April, Brookes Moscow welcomed the visiting team from the International Baccalaureate Organisation, to authorise our school for the PYP (Primary Years Programme). With our authorisation in place for MYP (Middle Years Programme) and the Diploma Programme (DP) visit next week, we are well on track to complete full IB World School authorisation before the end of this academic year.
During the PYP Visit last week, we received many commendations which we hope will be represented in the final report. The team summarised that our organisation’s stakeholders were all committed to the PYP within the IB programme and that there was clear interaction, collaboration and communication between parents, pupils and staff. Furthermore, when investigating our approach with learner profiles, we were delighted to receive a highly positive report, whereby there was clear evidence of our approach to international-mindedness, mother-tongue and all attributes of the learner profile across our whole school community.
We will now await the final report and authorisation of the PYP which we anticipate receiving towards the end of May. Upon receipt we will fully share the findings and good news to our community at Brookes Moscow.
Our sincere thanks goes to all the students, Sandy Venter, Mark Broom, Paul Ackers and the entire PYP Team of teachers and learning assistants for their hard work during the whole process leading towards our authorisation. We would also like to thank all the parents who were involved with the visiting team for their positive approach and valued feedback.
