Brookes Moscow welcomed two senior consultants of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) to authorise the school for the IB Diploma Programme (DP)

On Monday & Tuesday this week, Brookes Moscow welcomed two senior consultants of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) to authorise the school for the IB Diploma Programme (DP). After two days of interviewing staff, looking at facilities and resources, the school received a very favourable report based on findings.

A selection of the commendations reported on was the knowledge of the overall leadership, teachers, parents and students regarding the programme, the resources available for the students in the programme, the overall structure of the programme ready to begin in August 2020, the planning behind the organization of the DP, and the overall school community and culture of the school.

During the visit, we also welcomed to the meetings some of our future DP and MYP Teachers, who will begin their employment with the school in August 2020. Some of these specialist teachers will be teaching subjects in the DP, such as Physics, Maths, Theory of Knowledge, Russian acquisition, English, Psychology, Business Extended Essay Coordinator and CAS Coordinator.

We will hear back from the IBO before the end of this academic year, where we look forward to celebrating our authorisation as an IB World School and beginning in earnest, with the programme for our existing year 11 students and the new cohort of over 20 students starting with us at the same time.
