Brookes Moscow International IB School authorised for PYP (Primary Years Programme) International Baccalaureate program and now authorised in all three IB programmes – PYP, MYP and DP
Brookes Moscow International IB School is proud to announce that it has been authorised as an International Baccalaureate® (IB) World Continuum School for Primary Years Programme (PYP) from June 2020.
“The school is part of a global community of schools committed to developing knowledgeable, caring young people who will be ready to negotiate their futures successfully and make contributions resulting in a more harmonious and peaceful world,” said the school’s Director Charley King. He also commended educators, administrators, students, and families for their active roles in choosing to offer the PYP.
Brookes’ PYP Coordinator Sandy Venter led the authorisation process and said she is excited that Brookes will continue delivering a “rigorous academic programme, which through inquiry, conveys learning with relevance between, across and beyond subjects, and transcends borders so that students can connect to what is real in the world, fostering lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.”
Charley King thanked the Brookes students, teachers, and parents who have embraced the programme since the school’s candidacy was announced 23 months ago, and the City of Moscow for welcoming the school to the growing community.
He said he is looking ahead to positioning Brookes as a leading school that will “expand to serve even more families that value the merits of a quality education and demand the very best in progressive learning.”
Brookes authorisation as an IB World School coincides with the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the International Baccalaureate Organization. Both are committed to fostering lifelong learners who are ready for today and tomorrow.
