Why I Would Always Choose the IB
Our enthusiastic educator and a creative, independent learner himself PYP coordinator Thomas Karisa has always understood the importance of excellence and engagement within the learning process, so he shares his perception of IB system:
“The inquiry-based nature and the emphasis on developing student agency, were the major aspects that intrigued me initially. I instantly became motivated to understand how to create an environment that allows for student-led action to take place authentically and meaningfully. The IB actively promotes an environment that encourages students to develop independence as early learners.
For me, the IB framework stands out as it involves students as agents of learning, requires continued reflection of the programme by the entire academic team and incorporates the continued development of soft skills that students will be able to transfer to other aspects of their lives as they mature.”
