As an enthusiastic educator and a creative, independent learner myself, I have understood the value of student-led inquiry-based learning for some time. The PYP philosophy for teaching and learning truly empowers and inspires young students to achieve success within and beyond the classroom. Whilst refining my expertise and deepening my understanding, my passion for the programme continues to grow in strength. Leading the implementation of the PYP at Brookes Moscow is an incredible honour for many reasons. Our learning environment, both in terms of the state-of-the art school facilities and the local socio-cultural surroundings, act as a canvas for creating rich, diverse and meaningful learning experiences for all members of our student community. Working with truly talented teachers who are both international and inspirational is a genuine privilege. Besides this, nurturing links with other schools in the Brookes community also allows us to make unique global connections. The students here are truly at the heart of everything we do. We have incredible families that work in partnership with us to ensure that our students develop a wide range of skills that support them as lifelong learners. By having this relationship that centres around our learners, we are able to provide an education that is high quality, engaging and purposeful.
